Becoming a World-Class Christian

The last time I was in Nicaragua, David Robinson gave me a book to read and use entitled A Purpose Driven Life. I had every intention of reading it, but never followed thru with those plans. 38 days ago I decided I was going to get it out and start it over.

Today: Day 38: Becoming a World-Class Christian

"Jesus said to His followers, Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone."
                              Mark 16:15 NCV

"Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind."
                              Psalms 67:2 LB

Today's reading talked about the choice you must make to be either a world-class Christian or a worldly Christian. Worldly Christians mainly look to God for personal fulfillment. Their prayers focus on their own needs, blessings and happiness...a "me-first" faith. They want to use God for their purposes instead of being used for His purpose. World-class Christians wake up each morning expecting God to do work through them. Their joy, confidence and enthusiasm is contagious! They know they can make a difference!

Day 38 also points out that many Christians have missed God's plan for their lives because they have never asked God for their life plan...... "
Yes, Lord! I am listening! I hear You LOUD AND CLEAR" :)

Day 38 "YELLED" at me as I was reading! How I long to be the Christian the Lord wants me to be!

I know that the Lord works all things according to His plan, yet I am still amazed when small things, such as a devotional reading, come at just the right time! I am one day closer to being in El Salvador loving on some precious "babies"....and I cannot wait to get there!
